Amen to that! Variety and adaptability are always a good idea, and it's not even that expensive. Pick up a Victo's Blade (5k-ish), a Victo's Maul (1-2k), and a Razorstone (10k or maybe less) and you have an excellent basic set of weaponry. For armor, craft a helm in each attribute and put a Stonefist insignia on the hammer-based helm. Shouldn't cost you more than 20k total.

As a side note, should you want to construct a weapon on your own, you will want to look at Vampiric for the extra damage, not Sundering. Vampiric does more damage and is cheaper anyways, so you can save quite a bit there.

Keep in mond:
Swords bleed... 20 seconds of bleeding is 120 HP
Axes cripple... Just try and kite now!
Hammers Knock down... The only unstoppable interrupt

Vamp does more damage than sundering... and cannot be reduced
Sundering has no Health penalty

I personaly like swords, espically my trusty Victo's Blade, but am liking teh Weakness and Cripple abilities of the Axe now that AI will kite. Hammers I use in PvP to deal a lot of damage

if your going hammer, a stonefist insigina is almost a must. then you can do perfectly timed shutdown kd. for example: devestating hammer(elite), (attack/skill) hammer bash (attack/skill). do it right, and you will knock them down the second they stand up, thus giving you 4 attacks in while they are unable to do anything. remember, knockdown even goes through skills that prevent intruppts.

the best "bang per buck" hammer is probably the bludgeoner or victos. both can be found for under 5k in proph. not sure about nightfall tho.
